A WORKER has been badly injured at a liquefied natural gas plant off
Western Australia. The incident occurred on 8 September 2009 when a
man was hit on the back of the head with a crane sling while unloading pipes
off a vessel at the plant.
Unions say that the accident has highlighted the confusion over the
jurisdiction of offshore facilities, vessels and oil rigs.
Three different government safety bodies all denied responsibility for the
investigation.
WorkSafe WA is investigating an incident.
