The Premier said Ms Hoffman was upset about a Workcover decision and the case was not dealt with by Queensland Health.
Ms Bligh said she had personally told Ms Hoffman how much she admired her for her courage in bringing the Jayant Patel case to the public.
Toni Hoffman told The Australian that her career, health and psychiatric wellbeing were now severely affected because bureaucrats and successive ministers caused her to be increasingly shunned and ostracised in the six years since the debacle was exposed.
