Weekly benefits and retirement in NSW

Will my weekly payments continue once I reach retiring age?

If you sustain an injury before you reach retiring age, your weekly payments may continue for one year after reaching the retiring age.

If you sustain an injury after reaching retiring age, you may be entitled to weekly payments for up to 12 months after the first occasion of incapacity.

Under section 52 of the
Workers Compensation Act 1987, retiring age is the age a person is eligible to receive the age pension under section 23 of the Social Security Act 1991 (Commonwealth).

Call 13 10 50 for more information about weekly benefits and retirement.
