Police are calling for witnesses to a crash early yesterday morning that
claimed the life of a 26-year-old postal worker in Bedford.
It is understood that at about 10.30am, the woman was riding an Australia
Post motorcycle south along Beaufort Street, and had stopped to turn right
into Drummond Street.
While she was waiting to turn, police claim she was struck from behind by a
Nissan utility driven by a 44-year-old man Morley man.
The resultant impact then caused the woman to collide with a Volvo truck
that was travelling north on Beaufort Street.
She died at the scene from her injuries.
Anyone who witnessed the crash is urged to call Crime Stoppers
on 1800 333 000.
